They are aligned with nature, are peaceful in every\nrespect, women and men value each other and age is honored. Mothers are in the\ncenter and the maternal principle of nurturing and providing for others is the\nfoundation for the entire social structure. In addition they discussed how to create a social order free of violence which respects all life on earth. <br> (Director: Dr. Heide G\u00f6ttner-Abendroth, International Academy HAGIA) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2005 Societies of Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The peacefulness of these societies was the focus of the second world congress in Texas, where in addition to international scientists many representatives of matriarchies attended and spoke about their cultures: Khasi (India), Minangkabau (Sumatra), Tuareg (North Africa), Mosuo (China), Juchit\u00e1n (Mexico), Arkan (Africa), Iroquois (USA), Maori (New Zealand), Kabylen (Algeria).<br> (Directors: <strong>Dr. Heide G\u00f6ttner-Abendroth<\/strong>, International Academy HAGIA,<br> and <strong>Genevieve Vaughan<\/strong>, Center for the Study of the Gift Economy, Austin)<br> <br>During this congress we realized that the representatives of the various matriarchies were mostly unaware of the existence of the others. Most of them believed that they were living according to their own ancient traditions and that no other community lived like them. They also believed that no one was interested in their culture. After meeting at the congresses, they knew that they were not alone. This was the beginning of a flourishing network of support and reinforcement. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately it also became clear that the very existence of societies living according to matriarchal values and traditions were being increasingly threatened by the patriarchy. Dar\u00fcber hinaus tauschten sie sich aus, wie eine  gewaltfreie und alles Leben auf der Erde respektierende  Gesellschaftsordnung zu erzielen sei.<br>(Leitung: Dr. Heide G\u00f6ttner-Abendroth, Internationale Akademie HAGIA)<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><strong>2005 Societies of Peace<\/strong><br>Die Friedfertigkeit dieser Gesellschaften  waren ein Schwerpunkt beim 2. Weltkongress in Texas, wo neben  internationalen WissenschaftlerInnen viele VertreterInnen aus den Matriarchaten selbst anwesend waren und aus ihren Kulturen berichteten:  Khasi (Indien), Minangkabau (Sumatra), Tuareg (Nordafrika), Mosuo  (China), Juchit\u00e1n (Mexiko), Arkan (Afrika), Irokesen (USA), Maori (Neuseeland), Kabylen (Algerien).<br>(Leitung: Dr. Heide G\u00f6ttner-Abendroth, Internationale Akademie HAGIA,<br>und Genevieve Vaughan, Center for the Study of the Gift Economy, Austin)<br> <br>W\u00e4hrend dieses Kongresses stellten wir fest, dass die Vertreterinnen aus  den verschiedenen Matriarchaten meist nichts von der Existenz der  anderen wussten. Die meisten glaubten, es sei nur ihre eigene uralte Tradition, keine andere Gemeinschaft lebe wie sie und  niemand sonst w\u00fcrde sich daf\u00fcr interessieren. Durch das Zusammentreffen  auf den Kongressen konnten sie feststellen, dass sie nicht alleine sind. Most of them believed that they were living according to their own ancient traditions and that no other community lived like them. They also believed that no one was interested in their culture. After meeting at the congresses, they knew that they were not alone. This was the beginning of a flourishing network of support and reinforcement. <br><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Unfortunately it also became clear that the very existence of societies living according to matriarchal values and traditions were being increasingly threatened by the patriarchy.
